The Primal Blueprint Laws

  1. Eat lots of plants and animals.
  2. Avoid poisonous things.
  3. Move frequently at a comfortable pace.
  4. Sprint once in a while.
  5. Get adequate sleep.
  6. Play!
  7. Lift heavy things.
  8. Get adequate sunlight.
  9. Avoid stupid mistakes.
  10. Use your brain.

The Primal Blueprint Laws, created by Mark Sisson, are ten simple steps for creating vital energy and resilience in one’s life.  By taking cues from our ancestors, and integrating them with the science of optimizing human health, these laws will lead one to optimize health and minimize disease in the modern world.

How do we build vital energy to thrive and be resilient? There are many solutions, and one of them is my Four Pillars of Health system: Intelligent Movement, Nourishing Food and Hydration, Quality Rest and Positive Mindset. As we come upon the one year mark in surviving the Malibu fires and we face red flag warnings this season, it’s an especially important time to be a self-care ninja!

The Primal Blueprint Laws help guide the way.  In my health coaching practice, I guide each person to understand the nuances of these laws, strategize about major life goals, define the steps along the way, navigate obstacles, and enjoy the process of taking control of one’s health and vitality.
